Before diving into the methodology, it is important to understand the primary goal of the k.on.ect KPIs. We do not pretend they will replace the need for in-depth, expert analysis. In fact, our comprehensive Results Interpretation Service (RIS) reports will continue to be offered for detailed diagnostics and actionable recommendations. Instead, the strategic power of k.on.ect lies in its ability to constantly screen your entire fleet and instantly identify areas of interest. This provides an enormous gain in efficiency. A machine's health cannot be evaluated in a vacuum. A "normal" reading for one machine could be an early warning sign for another. Our philosophy is that true diagnostics require context. Therefore, the severity levels in k.on.ect (Normal, Sub-optimal, Serious, Critical) are not based on one-size-fits-all tables but are dynamically calculated based on the unique identity and operational expectations of each asset.

Machine Type and Industry: The operational demands on a Hydro generator are vastly different from those on a Turbo generator or a GMD (Gearless Mill Drive). Our KPIs are calibrated for these distinct environments.

We integrate these core "as-built" parameters directly into our KPI calculations. This ensures our analysis is always relative to the machine's own design capabilities. By doing this, we assess the health of your machine against its own potential, not against a generic standard, providing a far more precise and meaningful evaluation of stress and degradation.
